AEFAA brought the sector together at its Future Challenges event on 11 March in Barcelona. As EFFA's Spanish member association, AEFAA continues to show the value of community in helping our sector anticipate change and build collective solutions.
A few highlights from the day:
Alexandre Cevallos, Germán Castillo & Mario Cárdenas presented how AEFAA is supporting the Flavour & Fragrance sector in Spain, through information, representation, and even new digital tools such as their innovative AI chatbot for the AEFAA member network.
Diana March Bladé reminded us that sustainability is not only about regulation; it is also a driver for change across the business.
The roundtable with Aurélie Perrichet from the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), Belén Carazo from Stanpa - Asociación Nacional de Perfumería y Cosmética, Irene Belinchón Visier from Feique - Fed. Empresarial de la Industria Química Española, Paloma Sánchez Pello from Federación Española de Industrias de Alimentación y Bebidas and EFFA's Communications and Public Affairs Director, Jimena Gomez de la Flor, highlighted key priorities for the sector: science-based legislation, sustainability that goes hand in hand with competitiveness and strong coordination across the value chain.

Ivan Borrego Valverde closed the day with reflections on how organisations can adapt and improve in a changing environment. One message stood out: to face future challenges, we need a strong and connected community.
