Mr Andrea Occhionero joins the European Flavour Association (EFFA) as the new Public Affairs Manager. He brings to the role more than three years of experience in the field of public policy, government affairs, and advocacy in the public and private sectors.
From the 1st of February, Mr Occhionero joins the European flavour industry with the objective of continuing working on the positioning of EFFA and the role that the Flavour industry can play in the transition towards more sustainable European food systems.
Native from Italy, he has also lived in France and Belgium. He speaks fluently Italian, English, French and Spanish. Prior to joining EFFA, he worked at several Brussels based companies and associations. Mr Occhionero is excited to join his new colleagues: “I am honoured to join the EFFA’s family, and I will work together with the EFFA Board and membership to keep ensuring that the industry’s interests are well represented at European level”.
The EFFA Secretariat is enthusiastic about this new addition to the team: “Andrea brings passion and experience to this important role, and we look forward to welcoming him on board”, says Alexander Mohr, PhD, Executive Director of EFFA.
