EFFA General Assembly in Warsaw Welcomes the Launch of the Polish Flavour Association (PZPA)
The European Flavour Association (EFFA) held its 2025 General Assembly in Warsaw, Poland, marking a historic occasion for the European flavour industry: the official launch of the Polska Związek Przemysłu Aromatów (PZPA), the Polish Flavour Association.
Created with support from EFFA, PZPA will represent the national sector in European discussions. “With PZPA, we’ll be better connected, more visible, and ready to speak up for the value flavours bring, both in Poland and across Europe.” Said Ms. Katarzyna Jaskulska-Niwinska, President of PZPA and owner of a family-run Polish flavour house.
PZPA immediately joined EFFA as its newest member, joining other 12 National Associations: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.
A European Milestone
EFFA warmly welcomes PZPA as its newest national association, strengthening the voice of the flavour industry in Europe. “The launch of PZPA is a significant step forward, both for Poland and for Europe as a whole,” said Marc van der Duijs, EFFA Executive Director. “It reflects the strength and dynamism of the Polish flavour sector and its importance in shaping the future of food and drink across the continent.”
EFFA's newly elected President, Doruk Ongan, who chaired the Warsaw meeting, added: “This year’s General Assembly had real momentum behind it. With PZPA now part of the EFFA family, we’re more connected, more representative, and better placed to shape the debate on flavours in Europe.”
