The EFFA Breakfast Club is back – Episode 4 (Part 1) is live!

On this new episode, we welcome two guests from the family, one of the EFFA National Associations: Deutscher Verband der Aromenindustrie e.V. (DVAI), the German Flavour Association. Tobias Koppitz, Executive Director, and Nadine Wiesner, Executive Assistant, will share a coffee with us, while telling us about the Flavour Technologist programme and the Berlin FlavourDays.

The session was recorded at the beginning of the academic year, and it feels especially relevant as students and employers continue to look at the skills pipeline for our sector. In Part 1, we explore the Flavourist Technology programme and what it offers students:

  • A curriculum combining theory and practical training
  • A structured industry internship
  • Accommodation costs covered during the internship, helping reduce barriers to participation
  • The skill sets that support careers across the flavour industry

We also touch on Berlin FlavourDays, and the mix of conferences and tastings that is so special about them. And stay tuned for Part 2, where we'll look at:

  • DVAI Communications projects and exchange of best practices with Associations
  • Opportunities and challenges in the flavour sector
  • The role of flavours in innovation
  • How flavourings connect with memories and emotions
